Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has hailed Darwin Núñez as a future star and backed the Uruguayan to fire the Reds to more glory after his record-breaking start to life at Anfield.
Núñez has scored nine goals in his first 10 games for Liverpool, including a hat-trick against Bournemouth on Saturday that made him the club's fastest player to reach that landmark.
The 23-year-old's goalscoring exploits have helped Liverpool to a perfect start to the season, with five wins from five games in the Premier League.
And Rodgers is convinced that Núñez is only going to get better and better.
"He's a fantastic player," Rodgers said.
"He's still young and learning, but he's got all the attributes to be a top player.
"He's quick, strong, good in the air and he's got a great goalscoring record.
